Still here...

Yes, we are still here. December was a busy month and January continues to be as well.

I just thought I would highlight a few things that took place last month.

Of course it was my birthday. Thank you to those of you who sent in freebie ideas for birthday folks. I was intending on doing as many of them as I could on my birthday, but as it is with a baby life can be unpredictable...or predictable, however you put it. Nate and I decided to spend a Saturday on a date. My parents watched C while we went out to dinner and a movie. It was a nice time. I think that was one of our first dates just the two of us in a few months. I found myself mostly preoccupied wondering how C was doing. And of course she was just fine...in fact she probably had more fun with Grandma and Grandpa.

For Christmas we got the opportunity to fly out to Michigan. It has been 3 years since we've spent Christmas out there...I think 3? Anyway, there were a lot of people to visit and places to see. As usual, the trip flew by quickly and we packed a lot in. We even managed a short road trip with the Forbes' down to Ohio to visit more family. A lot of fun memories were made. C got to meet her little cousins for the first time. They welcomed her with open arms. Of course she's still so young she didn't know what to do with all the attention. She was so overwhelmed by all the new faces that she just sat and watched....took in everything. That's the first time I've seen her so quiet. =)

Our flights were pretty good. C did okay. I wouldn't say it was a piece of cake, but she handled it well. By the time we got home I think we were all ready to lay low for a few days. And that's just what we did. My parents flew back from NYC the same day and spent a few days visiting with us at our home.

Our family did a Christmas celebration after the company had all left. It was just the three of us for a few days before Nate headed back to work.

We were so spoiled having Nate around every day for 2 weeks. We were all getting used to it and LOVED it! But of course, that isn't reality, so we're all back into our daily routines now.

C is back to her sing-song self and I'm keeping busy around here.

That's the quick update! I hope your holidays were memorable as well.
