ebay question
Anyone know about Ebay?
I had posted an item last week....someone bid on it....didn't pay...so I sent them an invoice....no word....a week later I emailed her to see if she was aware of winning the bid. Finally today I got an email from her saying she had also won another bid from someone else that had more items in it and asked me to cancel her transaction with me.
....is that how Ebay works?
1). Do I cancel her transaction and give negative feedback?
2). Do I just cancel her transaction?
3). Do I get to post this item again for free?
Still learning about Ebay...=)
need help.

Eye of the beholder...
Soft soap...that's what Nate accidentally squirted in his eye Friday afternoon.
You wouldn't think that would send him to the ER, but it did.
He was washing his hands at work and the pump wasn't getting any soap out. So he looked at the pump and pushed down....SQUIRT! A steady stream right in the eye!
Soft soap must not be that soft. Nate described it as a strong burning feeling that seemed to dry out his eyes to the extreme. He used the eye wash at work, but that didn't seem to resolve anything..it only got worse.
He came home early and we called the advice nurse. She referred us to poison control. Poison control?!? Soap isn't poison! But sure enough, they knew what to do. He took a warm shower letting the water run down his face for 15 min. Even after that it was still hurting pretty bad. They had us call back and then referred him to the ER. ER??!! yep, they see it all.
An hour went by in the waiting room. Nate came out, still with his eye shut, swollen and red. They had put some numbing stuff in his eye to check for scratches or cuts, but there were none. Good thing!
On home we went...now the waiting game. It should be feeling better in about 3 days. Until then, it's "winking Nate" or "Pirate Nate" or "caught in the sun Nate." =)
He's being a good sport about it. =)

Beverly Beach
Every year the Stuewe's get together at Beverly Beach for a family camp out. We made it for just the day on Saturday, but it was well worth it...so restful and fun to visit with family. Plus, it was C's first trip to the ocean...she LOVED the sound of the waves. Nate thinks it reminded her of the womb. =)
I enjoyed it so much that I really didn't get any pictures...so I kiped a few from the Internet. =)

This is what the campground looks like near the yurt sites. A few families stayed in yurts and everyone else brought their trailers. We all meet up at the best campsite (view of the beach) for meals.

A view of the beach only a 2 min. walk from the campground.

Another view of the beach.

This is the view of the beach from the highway near the camp ground. You can kind of see the light house at the very end of the cliffs. Two of my cousins are training for a marathon, so they ran down as far as they could towards the lighthouse and back. WOW what a run!

My uncle Mark holding C. She loved seeing everyone again and they loved giving her hugs. =)

2 Months old
This is Charlotte at 2 months old in her buzz chair.
It's hard to catch a smiley picture, so this one is blurry. She just started smiling at us about 2 weeks ago. I just LOVE it!Wow time is flying by! I can't believe Charlotte is already 2 months.
She went in for her 2 month doctor's visit yesterday and surprise surprise....we have a tall girl! She is now 2 ft. tall....she is in the 90% category for height! I know she didn't get that from me that's for sure!
She now weighs 12lbs....I can feel it too=) It used to be pretty easy to bounce her up and down, but now I'm really feeling it after several reps! Nate and I are getting a workout in our arms.

My ebay attempt
I am feeling the need to get rid of some stuff that has been taking up prime real estate in our garage.
Well, here goes...we'll see if I'm successful or not.

FREE-sale
Looking through kitchen cupboards and drawers, we found all sorts of items that we haven't used in our 4 years of marriage. Instead of saying, "we'll use that someday" we loaded up a large box with these items.
Our neighbors had a garage sale a few weekends ago and it seemed to stay busy all day long. We didn't have enough stuff to do an impromptu garage sale, but we thought we could leave the box out on the curb with a "free" sign....see how it goes.
One half hour later....everything - GONE!
Apparently we have a great garage sale location.
mission accomplished.

Great website!
Check out these great photos of a creative mom....
If you scroll down on her site you will find all sorts of creative moments with her daughter. =)

Labor day weekend
I love 3 day weekends!
Friday, Rick and Christine came over and we did the "first Friday" art walk in town... we ran into several friends from various circles of life. I saw a lot of strollers...I think I'm just on "stroller radar" now. I'm always curious where stroller can go and so far they can go many places.
I got inspired by some of the art shown in the stores...I just LOVE art...mostly paintings and photography.
Yesterday Nate and I hung around the house, mostly outside. We even put blankets on the ground for C to lay down and watch the trees. She just LOVES that. We tried putting her to bed earlier to see what that would do...she only woke up 2 times!
I think one of the biggest adjustments with her sleep schedule is adjusting OUR schedule. =) I will admit it, we are both spontaneous people. We love to go anywhere at anytime. Now we have to be "scheduled" and that is going to go against our grain, but it will be good for Charlotte.
Not sure what the rest of the weekend holds...just relaxing and enjoying the time with the fam!

Funny sign
My mom and I saw this huge banner at IKEA yesterday....I thought it was great!
I'm so glad they prefaced that this is "not actual size"....I would love to see THAT kitchen.

Still recovering
I was told 8-10 weeks before I would feel good again... Well today marks the 8th week and I'm still in a lot if pain...mmmm
It might be due to my stitches tearing a few weeks ago... Or that I am trying to act "normal" when really I'm not there yet.
I can't wait to run again!
I sit down to do all my chores. There is a chair by the sink and one by the dryer. That has helped a LOT. This week I will try to take it easy... That's easier said than done.
