This is the view from our room...overlooking the lake with a balcony seating area on the left. Yes that is a fireplace! AWESOME! They had buttons for EVERYTHING. A remote for the flat screen tv, a remote for the curtains, buttons for all kinds of lights next to the couch and on the side of the bed, a door bell....etc...loved it!

Char loved this bed! She looks so small sitting there.

Chars room! She slept well in this dark quiet space. =)

This is the closet/sink area between the bedroom and the bathroom.

We just returned from a week trip to Idaho. It was GREAT! Just what we needed.
The first part of the trip was recruiting summer staff at NNU. Char and I stayed at the hotel during the day while Nate recruited. It was fun having a change of scenery for a while. She really liked the hotel room.
Some good friends stopped by the hotel to visit. I would have taken pictures, but I was so caught up in the moment I forgot my camera. It was great to catch up with them as it's been a while since we've talked.
After Nampa, we headed up to McCall to stay at Quaker Hill and see those great folks. The drive was beautiful as usual. Roads were clear and there was still a good 2-3 ft of snow on the ground. McCall has some new shops and buildings in town. A few things have closed since we've lived there, but for the most part it looked about the same.
We caught up with the camp folks....so good to see them! Nate actually did turnover one night to help the staff out. I think it was fun for him to help out in a way he is familiar. I think all past staff would agree that turnover is like second nature..once you've done it for a full summer...it's easy to jump back in and do it again.
We had coffee with Mariah too. I like her a whole bunch! We caught up with her on Saturday. Kyle was working, so we didn't get to see him. And then back to camp to get naps and get ready for the next part of our trip.
Monday we headed north to Ceour d'Alene for a camp conference. I'd never been to Northern Idaho, but the drive was great! I didn't picture it to be that mountainous! Charlotte slept most of the way and we just pushed through to get there fairly early.
The conference was held at the resort in town. I've attached some of the pictures of our room. LUXURIOUS! We really loved this room. Char and I hung out there while Nate was at the conference. The room was big enough for her to have her own "room." She slept in the bathroom in her pack n' play. Hey, it worked!
Yes, our room had a fireplace and a gorgeous view of the lake....and yes, the curtains had a remote to open and close them. And yes, our room had a door bell. =) ha ha! Oh it was POSH!
What a great place for a bunch of camping folks to end up at! We were all walking around with hooded sweat shirts and jeans...loaded up on REI gear walking through the lobby with the player grand piano and expensive boutiques. What a great sight!
I think those last 4 days went by the quickest. We enjoyed it fully!
The drive home was probably the hardest on C. She had been such a trooper during our longer drives, but this one was a doozie! It took all day to get home and by the time we walked into our house C was so wired she didn't know what was up or down. It took a while to get her to sleep, but she is now back into her routine and enjoying being home again.
