I realize I'm not being very good about blogging our baby updates but here we go....:)
Last week was our end of the first trimester apt. Our midwife went over our sonogram with us and she also let us listen to the heart beat!!!
She told us the baby is looking very healthy!!! Yay!! We were excited to hear that news. It's a huge comfort knowing that things are looking good for the baby this early on.
The sonogram also showed that I have a cyst near one of my ovaries ( I think that's where it is). But she told us it wasn't anything to be concerned about and certainly nothing they could do about it during the pregnancy either. So we won't worry about it.
We got to hear the heart beat too and boy was it going! Every once in a while we would hear a swooshing noise between beats. Our midwife said that was the baby kicking. She had a hard time keeping track of where the baby was because it was swimming around all over the place. I guess it's an active little one!
Every time we get to hear the heart beat it makes the pregnancy seem more real.
We should find out our babys gender at our next apt. I can't wait!!! Right now I go back between wanting a girl and wanting c boy. Either way will be wonderful!

My sickness is certainly subsiding. I'm back to working my full days again and I don't even have to take a nap mid day. I do still get sick in the evenings and weekends (maybe I just need to stay busy???:) ) but it's nice that it has become more predictable.

Thank you for posting. I really enjoy keeping updated on what is happening with the Forbes home. I also had a cyst at my first sono. They had me come in a week later to see what it was doing. It went away. I guess they are kinda common, but most of the time go away. Truly nothing to worry about. My neighbor let us borrow her doplar (sp) thing....so I can hear the heart beat at home. I think you can get those at BabysRUs for about $25, or craigslist. It's kinda neat to hear the heart beat at home. But I am not near as good as the doctors at finding the little guy. It takes me about 3-5 minutes to really find it.
