Longwood Gardens

This last week was packing week for us. My mom was such a blessing!! She flew all the way out here from Oregon to help us pack up our apartment! I was still working full time that whole week, so it was wonderful to come home and see that things were getting done. What a MOM!!! And she is very gifted in the area of organization and cleaning. Just ask anyone who knows her and they will say the same thing. Martha Stewart has nothing on my Mom!
So after a long week for her and Nate with packing, we went to Longwood Gardens near Philadelphia to celebrate!
It's a gorgeous garden! I think the green house was somewhere around 4 1/2 acres! And all of the planting beds in that green house had their own heating system so absolutely any kind of plant could be planted anywhere in that green house!
We would walk down each hallway and into new rooms all around this conservatory and my moms allergies would act up in different rooms! She would run out of one room and say "there's somthing in there I can't be around!" =0) If only green houses could also take care of allergies!

One neat fact we learned was that Bamboo are the fastest growing plants. They can grow up to 12 inches in one day! WOW!!
