A surprise trip!

Thanks to my Aunt Sharon, Nate and I had a very restful weekend trip to the coast. It came at such a perfect time too as we were just realizing that this is one of our last open weekends before our baby arrives. These are just a few of our pictures from the trip.

This truck/trailer was ahead of us in line at the stop light. I couldn't help but notice how nice it looked...mint condition all around (from a rookie's point of view anyway)
smooch!
The baby bump! Our little girl is getting more and more active these days...especially when I drink ice cold water or eat something sweet. =)
Nate's making dinner in the beach house. YUM!
We re-discovered this little gem in the Taft district. Tiki's restaurant serves Stumptown coffee from Portland. It was well worth $3 a cup EASY! And they have a talking parrot! Who could ask for more!
A fun "natural" bench we found while walking along the beach. I want to know how they got the big stumps into the ground...
We both had to try out the bench. Great view of the ocean too!
ahhh! restful sight! Now don't you just want to walk down there too?
And this is our favorite little beach house. I just love that purple door. =)

While we were here we rented The Blindside from the Redbox at McDonald's. Fantastic movie! Oh it will strike every emotion...most likely tears and laughter. I highly recommend this movie.

Also, we went on a book store hunt around town. There are so many to choose from. It's like miniature Powell's scattered down 101. I couldn't help myself with the kids books. We came home with 4 new children's books. I'm slowly starting my children's book collection. We also stopped in at the Carters children's clothing store at the outlets..oh boy, that was a dangerous place to walk into! I had to limit myself to only one outfit. But boy are there some CUTE little outfits in there.

We even had time to read books on the back patio of the beach house. Right now Nate and I are both reading "Animal Vegetable Miracle." It's a great read...and easy to get through. It has already changed the way we think about food in the grocery store. And it has made us more keen on local foods.

All in all, it was a fantastic weekend away. Thank you Sharon! We love getting down to the little Purple Door house.
